Sure, a little velvet jumpsuit is always on par for the holiday season, but who says holiday dressing has to be so cut and dry? This holiday season I’m switching it up with a velvet jumpsuit from 1. State, available exclusive at Macy’s.

It’s taken a second winter of the velvet trend for me to really embrace it with open arms. I remember last season like it was yesterday. Velvet began to pop everywhere, from bags, shoes…you name it, and I was very stern about it, insisting that it wasn’t for me. Maybe I was a little traumatized by the velvet dresses I had to wear as a child (think crushed velvet!), but this season, it’s really grown on me, and I just can’t get enough. My velvet jumpsuit from 1. State is perfect and I just love the simple fact that I can do velvet in as little or as big as I want. I think this jumper os the perfect look to wear to a fall/winter event.

    I wore velvet when I was younger too, so I haven’t bought anything from the trend this time around yet. You get a lot of nice pieces, but this is the first time I’ve seen a velvet jumpsuit and you wear it so well! 🙂

    Hope you have a wonderful weekend! After a crazy week I’m hoping to do a little bit more for Christmas, getting those last few gifts and doing some more wrapping!
