It’s my 7th blog anniversary, can you believe it?! It was exactly 7 years ago that I decided to post my very first blog post. Who knew that by hitting the PUBLISH button my life would change forever?! Many of you have probably noticed that I took a year off from blogging. I’ve posted sporadically here and there but it wasn’t consistent. With the pandemic a lot has changed…, including myself.
Why did I take a break?
The answer is simple: I was burnt out (social media became more and more exhausting). I didn’t feel like posting pretty images on social during the pandemic while so many people were impacted by COVID-19 in such drastic ways, including myself. Businesses around the world were/are suffering, people are dying. It was and still is devastating. So, I stopped posting, in fact, I was barely on my phone anymore. And truth to be told: It was liberating. I focused on my family, especially on my two little ones. If you’re a parent than you’ll understand…we had to shift gears, from e-learning to navigating through the pandemic.
I’ve also started a new career outside of What Would V Wear. Almost a year ago, I’ve accepted a position as a Regional Vice President in Sales and Marketing for an architectural lighting company. My new career became a big focus of mine which left me with little time to do any blog work. I work full-time now hence by the time I get home from work it’s straight up family time. And it certainly didn’t help that I simply had no desire to spend any time on my cell phone. I was burnt out creatively and perhaps I needed the time to re-focus. However, I never wanted to leave my small LLC business behind. I’ve worked so hard to get where I am now. I’ll never forget the countless sleepless nights working on my content (like I am now!) until I made the decision to pursue entrepreneurship. What Would V Wear is here to stay!
What’s next?
So, what’s next you may ask? Well, What Would V Wear is here to stay! However, it’ll be my part-time gig for now. I’ll post when I feel like it. I won’t pressure myself in having to post just to “keep up”. Life’s too short. I want to have fun and most importantly I want to be honest with you all. I won’t pretend everything’s rosy when it isn’t. My content will share lots of real moments as well because let’s face it: Nobody’s life is perfect and quite frankly I’m tired of looking at perfect lives all day long on social media.
…And to my loyal followers (many of you have turned into my real life friends!): Thank you for allowing me to share my journey with you. I can’t believe it’s been 7 years! I’m truly grateful for each one of you! So, let’s raise a glass to 7 years! It’s been an honor!
Nice you are back..How I missed your blog…Want to see more from you…

Happy Anniversary, 7 years it’s an amazing achievement! I’ve always enjoyed having a blog just for fun but it can be even more exhausting at times with a full time job. I end up working on the blog and social media all weekends instead. I still enjoy it tho mainly because I don’t have to set up myself any targets and worry about monetising. It’s just to pursue passions and interests.:)
