I often compare myself to a spring flower. A spring flower needs the sun in order to grow, and I need the sun in order to make me feel alive.

We’ve had a fantastic, and sunny weekend. I was dancing on the streets during my photo shoots (check it out here) which resulted in much laughter from my husband. He was like:”What are you doing?”, in which I replied: “Can’t you see? This mama right here is happy!” He smiled, and kept on clicking away with our camera. It was a fast and fun photo shoot. I love days like these. I feel incredibly blessed to do this for a living.

On a different note: I’ve been “blushing” all week long. Blush pink is the color of the season, and I’m quite smitten. It’s such a whimsical and romantic color so, what’s not to love about it?

This year, I’m all about mixing classics, like blazers with casual denims. Flared denim have been a favorite of mine for a while and they are by far my favorite “casual outing” ensemble when I’m running errands in the city. This casual chic outfit is perfect. I wore it to lunch with my husband this week, and he even liked this outfit for once. My husband, Jeffrey says that he likes me being “more casual”. I often laugh at him when he says things like that because even though I like being an “off duty” blogger every once in a while – I simply cannot help but enjoy getting dressed for the day. It’s part of who I am. Casual or not.

And with spring being around the corner it’s about time to grab your favorite blazer out of your closet and rock them with your favorite pair of denim! It all started out with a whisper from my husband and here I am: A white blazer thrown on some denim, a roomy bag for some extra shopping, and a hat to keep my head warm + I’m obsessed with fedora hats, to be honest. What I love about this look is that the lines between style and causal get blurred which pretty much screams: Fabulous!

Motherhood: All love begins and ends there.

Becoming a mother to my son Kingston was by far the best thing that has happened to me. He has given me and my husband so much joy. Our son was definitely a ‘wanted’ child. We planned to have a baby, and now our beloved baby boy is already 4 years old.

And now, ever since I started blogging full-time, I’m able to spend more time with Kingston. He’s growing up so fast – I’m well aware that one day my house will be quiet, my son will be grown, and I will be longing for the chaos. Times truly flies especially when you’re a working mother.

I once heard that if “you’re living in the same house as a baby, time moves slowly” but this certainly wasn’t the case for me. After my maternity leave I went back to work and time was anything but slow. I wanted to push the “pause” button so many times, and this my friends, is the real reason why I wanted to pursue blogging full-time. Not for fame, ego, etc. I wanted to work from home so, I can be with my son. As simple as that. Before I had a full-time corporate job, and my son had to go to a nanny. Even though we had the best nanny any parent could wish for it was very hard on me. There were times were I secretly cried at work because I missed my son.

I feel incredibly blessed to be Kingston’s mother. He’s my soul and heart. Motherhood truly is a gift from above. I’ve learned a lot these last four years but learning the true meaning of unconditional love was probably the most precious lesson I’ve learned and experienced. My love for Kingston has no beginning and no end. Always.

My Skincare Routine with Orogold

Orogold, is my preferred beauty brand when it comes to my daily skincare routine. I’ve been using Orogold’s 24K Tèrmica Collection which is known for its ability to reduce the appearance of deep facial expression lines. The collection consists of a serum, completion cream and energizing mask. This unique collection helps me achieve radiant, and fresh looking skin.

Tèrmica Activation Serum – I use this serum everyday (morning/night). The serum is super smooth and feels great on my skin. I usually apply a drop or two to cover my entire face.

Tèrmica Completion Cream – I only apply a thin later of the cream on my entire face. I love how my skin feels afterwards. It’s softer and fresher.

Tèrmica Energizing Mask – This mask truly works wonders on my skin. I use it once a week for the first month, and then monthly after. With the mask you don’t have to save. I tend to apply a generous amount over my entire face. I massage it thoroughtly into my skin until my face is covered with an even layer. I leave the mask on for about 10 minutes and then I rise it off. My skins feels so energized afterwards! I love it!

Happy Monday, and thanks so much for stopping by! Spring seems to be around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited! We had such a wonderful weekend and the weather was just perfect (we had almost 60 degrees which made me jump for joy!). You have to understand – when we got back from Europe almost 2 weeks ago we were greeted by heavy snow, and I can’t tell you enough how happy I am that it’s completely gone now. I’m not much of a winter person. The part of Germany I grew up in rarely had cold and snowy winters so, you can probably understand my struggle with Chicago winters.

Anyhow, let’s talk fashion, shall we? Today I’m wearing a banded crop top and comfy waist pants from Bebe. I’ve always been a fan of pairing a crop top with high-waisted pants – there’s something really chic about it without having to bare it all! So, get ready for spring and grab your favorite stomach-revealing tops and start mix and matching, or opt for matching sets! Either way you’ll be a show stopper!
