We finally arrived in Germany, and I’m beyond happy to be reunited with my family and friends. My son, Kingston is having such a fabulous time with his grandmother which makes my heart melt. Seeing my mom with my son is beyond beautiful. Truly wish we all lived closer but for now we’re just just enjoying every minute together.

I grew up in a small near Dusseldorf with tons of little bookstores near my parents’ house. Reading is another passion of mine besides fashion. Near my hometown I discovered a new, tiny bookstore. It had all of these old books. Of course, I had to go in. My family were greeted by an elderly german woman who kissed my son Kingston. It was very sweet. I told her that I wanted to look around for a bit in which she said: “Kein Problem, schaut Euch ruhig um.” I smiled, and my treasure hunt begun.

It’s such a privilege to read, you know? It’s something not everyone subjects to. Reading allows me to travel the world even further, and visit past generations which in a way makes me become immortal; to live, as GRRM says, a thousand lives.

Afterwards we headed to the lake close my parents’ house where we took these pictures in my Everly Clothing dress. The location, my family, the dress…everything was perfect.

As always, thanks so much for reading & have a wonderful day!

Much love, always.

Paris Je t’aime

Paris, je t’aime… Words cannot describe how much I miss living in Europe. My family and I walked all day around Paris. The beauty of this city is truly everywhere. Every street, every boulevard, every corner has its own special moment and magic.

Near Notre Dame we discovered this beautiful side street. It has so much charm and hosts many fabulous restaurants close by. We truly live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty waiting to be discovered. All we need to to is open our eyes.

The history here is amazing, and and very charming actually. It’s funny how time after time nothing really changes, and yet everything is completely different. This trip (which really is a trip home) has got me thinking a lot. I never realized how much I actually missed living here. We will see what the future brings but one thing is for sure: Paris, je t’taime.

Greetings from Paris, and thanks so much for stopping by! We’re having a grand time in Paris – it feels so good to be back! My son, husband and I have done tons of walking, and indulged in lots of cafe lattes, and hot chocolates for my son. I love the slower pace in Europe – it seems Parisians take a lot more time drinking their coffees compared to the US. As Americans we are always on the go – I’m certainly guilty of it, too. In a few weeks we’ll be heading to Germany, followed by a visit to the Netherlands. I can’t wait to show my son where I went to college, etc.

But anyhow, I’m excited to share my favorite fashion finds under $50 with you all again! Who doesn’t love a good deal, right? The handbag is my favorite – it’s super roomy and the leather is super soft + durable. I just purchased it for myself last week.

Do you know of any good deals? If so, let me know by commenting below!

Happy Shopping!

Paris Impressions

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.”

― Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

Ernest Hemingway is right: Paris is a moveable feast, a feast for your eyes. Returning to Europe has been nothing but pure joy except for my jet lag. We arrived early Sunday morning Paris time and I must admit: We were dead beat. My son and I slept on and off until 1PM the next day. However, after 1PM I said to myself: “Enough sleep. We need to go out and explore!” The fact, that most places are within walking distance, is such a plus! Hence my son, Kingston and I (my husband had to work) ventured out to Notre Dame. We passed the “Lovers Bridge”, and Kingston and I decided to leave a love locket with our initials behind as well. It was a very sweet moment.

I took these pictures myself today, and believe or not, but I really enjoyed being behind the lens for once. Capturing the beauty of Paris is almost impossible but I tried my hardest. Even though I’m European and I grew up with all this history around me I am still mesmerized every time I’m surrounded by historical architecture, such as Notre Dame. My son was quite smitten as well. He asked a lot of questions which I was very happy to answer.

This being said: Travel, travel! There’s nothing more beautiful but to smell foreign air.

As always, thanks much for visiting & have a wonderful day!

Much love from Paris!
