Let’s face it ladies: Sometimes getting dressed during winter can be a bit of a headache. Occasionally I get what I like to call a “dresser’s block” (yes, that’s the equivalent of writer’s block) – but luckily my midi skirt addiction always comes to the rescue! Today I’ve paired my red midi skirt with a fun yellow lace top from Choies. Midi skirts are most definitely my go-to choices when it comes to building the perfect outfit.

Fashionpreneur – Noun: A woman who gracefully mixes fashion and entrepreneurship to build her empire.
I’m excited to collaborate with one of my favorite girls again, Ariana Pierce. She is the founder and owner behind Superstar Nail Lacquer, and the gal behind this awesome tee from her online accessories store, called Style Shoppe. I truly admire her – hence I’m super thrilled to collaborate with her again!
But let’s ponder on the term “Fashionpreneur” for a minute, shall we?! I spent 3 years digesting most of what the Westfaelische-Wilhelms University of Muenster, Germany had to offer but it didn’t fill me up. Still hungry, I packed my bags and decided to pursue my dream, and become a fashion designer in the United States (I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design in 2010). Yes, I moved all the way from Europe to the United States.
As a new-ish blogger I can proudly say that I am a true European at heart. I’d much prefer wearing heels then wear flats. However, being a product of both the hardworking ethics of the United States, and the rather free spirited soul of Europe, I feel I blend both attributes into my fashion choices, as well as my daily style regimen.
Over the last 8 months into my blogging I’ve learned to develop my own style and NOT to believe in fads. I work really hard to build my blogging empire. We all know that building a fashion brand doesn’t happen overnight; yet it has been such a joy ride! I’m truly grateful for all of the exciting opportunities I’ve gotten, but let me tell you: Yes, it is a lot of work. As much fun as it is, it is a real part-time job (taking pictures, editing pictures, creating content, social media updates, etc.) next to my full-time corporate job. But it’s all worth it because of YOU. If it wasn’t for you, dear readers I truly wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing! So thank you for your continued support! I appreciate all of you so much!
As always, thanks so much for reading & a BIG THANK YOU to Ariana Pierce who gifted me with the “Fashionpreneur” tee.
How amazing is this yellow Choies dress?! Trust me, I am completely smitten! It’s so pretty, so feminine and SO lovely! Needless to say, I am obsessed with color, and, truth to be told, I don’t think I’ll ever stop wearing color (nor choosing fun and colorful background walls!). I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and thank you again for reading! Your support means the world to me!
Happy Monday, dolls! Glad you stopped by! Today I’m wearing a blanket scarf which I have just received from OASAP, and yes, I’m aware that we have seen this trend on so many bloggers – yet I cannot help BUT spread the love on blanket scarfs myself! Sorry! It’s my favorite go-to item for cold, i.e. freezing Chicago days! I like to wear mine more like a traditional scarf rather than wrapping it around my neck. It provides more warmth this way + gives me an extra layer (which is definitely needed in Chicago).
And before I forget:
I just received my second Rocksbox set (yay!) and I’m completely smitten! They definitely nailed it this time! I love my Margaret Elizabeth Diamond Bangle in Chrysoprase + Loren Hope Crystal Necklace!

Yes, I’m doing it! I’m wearing a jumpsuit during winter! I’ve always loved jumpsuits – they are easy to hop in and out of, and just so ideal when you don’t want to wear dresses anymore. They are also incredibly versatile which gives you tons of opportunities to style it!
My particular winter jumpsuit is from OASAP which comes with long (lace) sleeves, and even though it’s not thicker than their summer counterparts, I do like my black, polyester/spandex version.
Here’s what you need to know how to make your jumpsuit work in the winter without freezing to death: Obviously you want to layer up! I’m wearing tights underneath + a tank top, and a faux fur vest which I have belted to keep me extra warm and cozy! Also you may want to opt for jersey jumpsuits rather than silk during winter! It is warmer and, honestly, a lot more comfortable than the silk versions.
As always, thanks so much for reading & have a wonderful weekend!
