Making sure I don’t look “rodeo” I’ve paired a lightweight chambray shirt with a darker shade of boyfriend denim. Both are from Dear John Denim, a brand, who is known for its classic American jean. It’s straight, forward, timeless and affordable.

What are your thoughts on the denim on denim trend? If you are contemplating on whether or not you can pull off this look off I strongly recommend balance. For instance, dark washes create a slimming effect, while light colors draw attention to your body. Never wear the exact same of shade of denim, or you end up looking rodeo, and who wants that?

    Yay, the Texan Tuxudo, ha! I havnt worn jeans for over a decade, but I love to see it being worn by other people- I love the look of an oversized denim top, boyfriend distressed jeans and then the pop of leopard print-adding print makes you not look toooo True Blue, and your tip of balancing the denim shades is right on the money! x
