Since I do social media for a living some might think that creating Pinterest worthy images comes easily to me but the truth is that I have days where I feel completely uninspired too. I’m just like anyone else. This year I’ve traveled quite a bit, from San Francisco, to Amsterdam, to Dusseldorf, to Xanten, and now New York. Traveling always inspires me, it’s part of me. Since I was an infant (literally!) my family and I would travel the world (which is why I consider myself a world citizen rather than narrowing it down to just one country).
This year has been amazing and I am forever grateful for all the travels I was able to do with my family. I feel motivated and extremely inspired. My husband and I have come a long way in photography. Each day we learn something new. Learning simply doesn’t stop. Our trip to New York was unique this time around since we did not have our boys with us. We were able to focus solely on work and the results were and are amazing! I couldn’t believe how much we got done and how much we were able to experiment + try different things with our camera. Oftentimes we have our kids with us which is fun but also hard. You can’t fully concentrate, as a parent you’ll know what I mean. 🙂
Finding Inspiration
Travels play a huge part in my life to find inspiration and be inspired. It goes without saying. You simply must “smell foreign air”. I can’t imagine a life being at one place forever. I crave exhilarating adventures and NYC is one of those unique cities that is eexhilarating, diverse, humbling, inspiring and unforgettable at the same time.
