You know the holiday season is upon us once you notice the first Christmas lights appearing on your neighborhood block and I must admit: Nothing excites me more but seeing all the lights shining bright and clear! To kick off the Christmas season I started decorating our family room. As inspiration, I am showing you how I decorate my house for Christmas. During the holiday season, our Christmas tree is the centerpiece of our home. I bought our white Christmas tree last year and I am so happy that I did. I love to decorate our tree together as a family. Many of the ornaments have special meanings. And sure, you can string up the classic lights, garlands, and then some, but every year there are fresh ideas on how to amp up your tree and home decor for the holidays.

For instance, last year my color scheme was pretty neutral. Lost of whites and silver paired with small gold accents. This year I wanted to bring red back so, I decided to add a few red ornaments on the tree + I bought a few wooden accessories to complete the room. I’m a very visual person hence seeing my family room transform into a mini wonderland was quite exciting to be frank.

    These are beautiful decoration ideas! I love getting festive and bring out the Christmas throw pillows. One of my all time favorites from growing up is a velvet throw with the word ‘noel’ written in script. It’s funny how you remember those tiny details from childhood.     So pretty! I buildinh our christmas decor. My husband is fine with just the tree and some stockings. This year I’m decorating our whole house. Lol
