Words cannot describe how amazing it is to be back home in Germany. My mom and brother still live here so, I try to visit them as often as I can. It’s been a while since my family and I visited them over the summer (the last few years have been in the winter) and what can I tell you?! It’s been the best summer—full of adventures and lots of laughter!
Walking down memory lane
It truly felt like walking down memory lane as my family and I visited my neighborhood, as well as some of my favorite places. Some things have changed and some have not. One thing I have I’ve totally forgotten about is the fact how green it is in Europe. The nature is breathtaking in Germany, as well as the history. Tons of castles all around, lots of beautiful fields…and there’s a sense of innocence over here. People seem less stressed–and I must admit: I took this realization to heart. During my two weeks in Europe I spent a lot less time on my phone (you may you noticed that I didn’t post much on my Instagram). As an influencer it is somewhat required to post every single day, share every moment and experience but guess what?! I chose not to. I decided to be in the moment and share these amazing experiences with my family only.
There’s no place like home
There’s a part of me that wants to move back to Europe, I must confess. I talked a lot with my husband about it. I felt at ease being back home and I felt like my old self again. Carefree, full of life, always seeking the next adventure. I don’t know what the future holds but one thing is certain: There’s truly no place like home.
