Moto Jackets: “Embrace your feminine edge!”

I’ve long been a fan of moto jackets. I love the urbanite look it creates, and it also adds a little bit of edgy into your day-to-day wardrobe, wouldn’t you agree? My biker jacket has an asymmetrical front, and sharp zipper details which I very much adore.

I bought this jacket not too long ago when I discovered that my former moto jacket (see this post here) was ruined by one of my dogs, Cali. She actually chew the zippers off! She did that when we literally left the house for about 15min… Story of my life. I was a bit upset — but how can you really stay mad at a dog as they watch you with those BIG puppy eyes? Yep, it’s impossible! I got a new one instead and cuddled Cali, as always.

Now back to this jacket, and how I like to style them. I personally like to play with different fabric textures. For instance, I’m wearing a corduroy front-button skirt paired with my leather moto jacket. It creates a different look and it embraces my feminine edge at the same time. I also like to play with the silhouette. My motorcycle jacket ends at my natural waist, which makes them perfect for wearing them with skirts, dresses and pants.

    Loving this look, Vanessa! I’ve never tried wearing my moto jacket with corduroy before, it looks great, you’ve definitely inspired me! I love how you pointed out that your jacket falls at your natural waist, making it perfect for wearing it with dresses and skirts, very helpful to consider! I have the same issue with my cat, Judah. He is SO mischievous and always doing something he shouldn’t be and everyone says it’s my fault because when anyone tries to reprimand him, I end up feeling bad and give him way too much attention, haha! In fact, he listens to everyone except me! Whenever I try to tell him no, he just looks at me, like yeah right, mom!     I love a good moto jacket and yours is perfect! I love how you’ve styled it from head to toe.
    My dogs love getting into things too…together they chewed up a vintage beaded necklace that I had picked up at vintage sale…I was super upset at first but it’s hard to stay mad at them.lol

    Oh wow, its warm enough in Chicago not to wear tights/leggings! Loving your biker jacket and that gold zip detail! I love biker jackets but they dont love me, in terms of fit etc….tsigh…plus I prefer to wear long jackets…but i do love going to vintage stores and seeing the selection of biker jackets….Grease, West Side Story etc, they helped to make the look iconic!     I think you did an awesome job styling this moto jacket!! I really adore the skirt!!
    Usually, when I wear moto jackets, I love styling them with jeans and heeled boots or pumps.
    Though, today, since the weather was cool, not cold, I was wearing a graphic tee, a zippered hoody, leggings, sneakers…and a moto jacket.

    I don’t think I’ve ever worn a moto jacket with a skirt, how odd is that 🙂 I didn’t set out to intentionally not wear skirts but I suppose whenever I had a jacket on, I forgot skirts existed GRIN beyond the obvious beauty of these colours, I love that your skirt is corduroy. So unexpected xo
