Hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend! I’ve spent the long weekend with my family and friends! We truly had the perfect weather to kick of the beginning of summer. We bought a slip’n side for my oldest son and his friends but comes out the adults had just as much fun with it as the kids! Which brings me to ‘living life to the fullest’. One of my goals this year was to simply be present and live every day on a fresh new start.
Have you tried this yourself?! To simply be present (which means less time on the phone) and living life like there’s no tomorrow?! We’ve all heard this phrase “live life like there’s no tomorrow” but how many of us actually try to live up to this? It takes guts to let yourself be free of worry. Especially as adults, i.e. parents. We are so occupied about the well-being of our kids, etc. that we forget to take care of ourselves sometimes or be like children ourselves. To be in awe of the surroundings, and be mesmerized by the littlest things.
This past Memorial Day weekend we had Kingston’s friends of over (+ their parents). And let me tell you: It was so fun! We watched the kids play on the slip ‘n slide and it looked so fun that us parents decided to go on it as well! I don’t think I had such a great laugh in a long time! I honestly had forgotten what it meant to be a kid again and just have fun—until I went down on the slip ‘n slide myself. And on this note I urge to…
