When I was pregnant with Jaxson I naively thought that I would only need clothes that were loose fitting around my tummy. Now that I’m nursing my little one, I realize that my tummy isn’t an issue at all (the bump is gone!)—but rather the much fuller chest I have for the time being, as well as the need to have access to that chest at all hours of the day to feed my little boy. So, today’s post is dedicated to post-partum style together with Mayarya, a maternity brand that redefines pregnancy and beyond.

It’s been almost three weeks since I gave birth to baby Jaxson and I’m so glad that we have our breastfeeding schedule down. However, fashion and breastfeeding doesn’t always go hand in hand hence I was so excited when I discovered Mayarya, a brand that prides itself on “designing unique pieces with functional breastfeeding access.” At first it didn’t even cross my mind how important it would be to have functional access especially when you’re out and about. I learned all about it though when we took Jaxson to his first pediatrician appointment at 1 week. He woke up from his nap as soon as we got there but luckily the nurse offered me a room where I could feed him before we saw his doctor. This being said: You need to be prepared at all times and functional access is a must!

I’m wearing ‘The Mayarya Fuchsia Silk Maternity Maxi Dress‘ in navy which comes with spaghetti straps, a V-neck and a fashionable dipped hemline. It’s super flowy and perfect for a warm Spring/Summer day! It’s also easy to slip on and off which makes breastfeeding very comfortable!

    First, congratulations. You looks so beautiful and your Jaxson is so adorable. What a blessing. I have just discovered your blog and I love it. I will definitely follow you.

    My post-partum tips? I used to wear maternity clothes for another 2 months after giving birth. Than I started loosing weight and I made a mistake of buying new clothes. Now I am back at my weight but those clothes are huge (I put on 17kg when I was pregnant). So don’t buy any new clothes until you are back on your size. It took me 10 months and I can wear my pre-pregnancy clothes again.

    It is amazing how the body changes after a baby. It seems like the nursing is constant and having clothing that works is key. You look gorgeous!
