We all want to do our best job possible and so we push forward each and every day—even if we face daily experiences that humble us, terrify us or even break us down. But here’s the thing about motherhood: As mother’s we can truly conquer anything if we realize that we need each other. Generations ago children were raised communally, and women relied on one another to thrive.

Over the weekend my family and I spent a night at the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. We desperately needed a staycation. As a frequent reader of this blog you may know that we’re all about family time especially on the weekends. This being said when the opportunity came along to spend a night at the Wyndham’s Presidential Suite we knew that we couldn’t pass up on this amazing occasion. Chicago is not only our hometown but it truly holds a special place in our hearts.

I’ve layered my silk slip dress over a black turtleneck (very Parisian chic, wouldn’t you agree?!) and added a beret, as well as nude strappy heels to complete the look.
