I don’t think I’ve ever gone into a business meeting and NOT seen a pair of ankle length pants on someone. As a petite, ankle pants are one of my favorites. Lately I’ve gotten quite a few questions about pant styles + hem lengths and what shoes to wear with various styles. So, today I’m sharing some tips on who should wear a cropped pant and how to wear them.
Tip 1
Avoid wearing flats with your ankle length pants, unless you have legs to your eyeballs. I’m only 5’5 and hence always prefer wearing heels vs flats to lift me up higher. 🙂

Style your ankle pants appropriately. I often say less is more so, in this case let your cropped pant be your statement piece. Don’t wear loud top but instead keep it simple and classy.

I always love posts like this and you nailed this one! Being 5.4′ and having shorter legs than most, finding any form of pant that fits perfectly is rare! I tend to opt for wide leg trousers these days because they are more flattering on my body and create an illusion of longer legs, however, there is something so spectacular about wearing cigarette trousers and a great blazer that I still long to nail this style and find a pair that works. As like you, I always wear heels with my trousers and never any that have a ankle strap because I find it cuts me off even more. I also make sure their high-waisted and I tuck the top in.
