Things Not To Miss in San Francisco

“The City by the Bay” is one of my favorite cities—with an eclectic mix of neighborhoods, there’s truly something for everyone in San Francisco. From the rugged coastline and the redwood tree-filled parks, to the busy streets of the city itself, there’s plenty to do. My husband, who’s a bay area native, spent many days playing tour guide with me and my boys. If you are planning to visit San Francisco read on! I’m excited to share how to get the most out of your travels on a shoestring budget.

Golden Gate Bridge

Perhaps one of the most iconic sights in all of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge is an absolute must see. There are plenty of amazing spots to view it from, but my personal favorite is Baker Beach. Not only do you get an awesome front row seat to the bridge, but you can dip your toes in the Pacific ocean. You can sit down, enjoy a picnic and simply watch the world go by. It truly is the most amazing experience while basking in the view of the famous bridge!

Chinatown

Did you know that San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia as well as the oldest Chinatown in North America?! It is one if my favorite attractions for shopping and the delicious food! Also, if you are looking for souvenirs I strongly recommend Chinatown! You can get everything there for your friends and family.

Lombard Street

One of my favorite things to do is hop on an iconic cable car and cruise down Hyde St. Then hop off at Lombard to walk down the world’s crookedest street. The views at the top are stunning!

Wente Vineyards

Located in Livermore (bay area) Wente Vineyards is a must see! It’s absolutely beautiful and if you have ever dreamed of having a photo shoot at a vineyard this may just be the place for you! Check my photo shoot at Wente Vineyard out HERE.

    I just got back from SF too! Such a fun city with so much to see and do. I love how many amazing bakeries and cafes there are, and the MoMA art gallery is awesome too.

    San Francisco is one of my all time favourite cities, aside from London and Berlin. Such a great list. Muir woods and Mill Valley can also be beautiful in this spring and summer.

    I used to live in San Fran and miss it so much! Every time I visit the city now, I always (always) drive to the Golden Gate bridge to just stop and stare at it for a while. Love your photos here! xx
